Valmeinier Run and Ski

Fancy a unique adventure? Come and take part in a duathlon (trail running/ski touring) that is unique in France and 100% mountain-based: the Valmeinier Run and Ski. It's the perfect challenge for athletes looking to push themselves to the limit.

A sporting challenge... and a charitable one! A portion of the registration fees will be donated to the SLA (Sois Là Aussi) association. The association fights for children with illnesses and supports their families. The association supports Lya, a 2-year-old girl from Valloire who suffers from alternating hemiplegia (ATP1A3 gene mutation), a rare and serious neurological disease. On the programme: The trail section starts in St Michel de Maurienne and finishes in Valmeinier Villages 1500, covering 4.7km with 800m of elevation gain. Transition to ‘ski touring’ mode on the snow front of the Village, then departure for: - The ‘short format’ via the slopes to the top of the ‘Roi’ chairlift, covering 3km and 550m of elevation gain, Or, - The ‘long format’ via the slopes to the top of the ‘Génépi’ slope, covering 5km and 900m of elevation gain. 3 (very) good reasons to take part: • A unique duathlon format • (Re)Discover the Maurienne in all its magnificence, feel the thrill of the vastness that surrounds you, enjoy a playground without limits; • A friendly post-race drinks reception 😏.
