Rafting in Serre-Chevalier is a recreational outdoor activity that allows you to discover magnificent landscapes during calm moments, while offering adrenaline rushes as you pass over eddies and rapids. Each descent begins with an initiation where the guide positions the crew in the raft, explains paddle handling, manoeuvres and safety measures.

Discovery: This descent, accessible to children aged 7 and over who can swim, begins in the village of Le Casset, located at the top of the Serre-Chevalier valley. You will be taken by minibus to the starting point and rafted down to Villeneuve, covering 7 km in around 1 hour on the river. The activity lasts around 2 hours in total and is generally easy but active, with a 300 m rapid in the middle.

Classic: Accessible to adults and teenagers aged 10 and over, this course requires the ability to swim. It starts with a rapid followed by an easier intermediate section, ending with a series of class 3 rapids. The minibus will take you to the village of Monêtier, also at the top of the Serre-Chevalier valley, for a 10km rafting trip down to Saint-Chaffrey. You'll spend around 1? hours on the river, with a total activity time of half a day.

Sport (XL): The sports & dynamic course is for people aged 16 and over who can swim. Departure is from the base in Villeneuve. After a briefing, you embark on a rafting trip down to Briançon, covering 10km in around 1h15 on the river. The whole activity lasts around 2h30. The trip includes 2 km of easy sections followed by a series of class 3 rapids and 45 minutes of class 4 rapids.
